Motivation


1. As we face a lot of problems during the power cut and we don’t know-

Until we call the local substation, we are completely clueless.
So, there should be a better Monitoring System for End-Consumers (like Relevant Information on the Website, Text Notification, WhatsApp Bot, etc)


2. We will be working on three different domains:

So it will be very beneficial for us, as we will be able to enhance our practical knowledge and learn new concepts/skills in new domains.

Objective of Project


Introduction


This project is based on “Substation Automation”. It involves a miniature indoor substation model, in which there are 3 load-lines. Each will have overload management and fault detection. Overload: Current will increase. Fault: Voltage will be zero across the faulty line. For SCADA (for Control Room of Substation): WinStudio is used. Moreover, for the end consumer, there is a website, which users can access, to get useful information (like if there fault/overload or not, what will be the duration of a power cut, etc). This will be implemented using a Web Connector.
